The Price
Five years ago, war veteran Jack Saggins bargained away his soul to a demon to save his dying best friend, and the debt comes due soon. The deal left Jack able to see the dead, and the restless spirits crowd closer every day, knowing exactly what he owes. Rather than run forever, Jack drifts from town to town, investigating hauntings and tracking down the souls the demon has collected, then freeing them one by one to drain the demon's power and bankrupt the debt collector before the final reckoning. Each episode pairs a chilling, standalone ghost story with Jack's slow-burning war against the demon, who taunts, tempts, and sabotages him along the way, while Jack's guilt, his strained bond with the friend he saved, and the friend's unwitting role in the pact add emotional weight. The tone is gritty, atmospheric, and haunting, blending supernatural dread with the quiet ache of a soldier still fighting a war that followed him home.
