The Cardboard Armour is a heartfelt animated short about childhood fear, loss, and the courage to connect. After a playground accident claims the life of his beloved pet snail, young Paul retreats into loneliness, convinced the outside world is too dangerous. To protect himself, he crafts an elaborate suit of cardboard armor and sets out to confront the children he blames. But fear sends him running before he can face them. Inspired by the quiet beauty of a butterfly, Paul finds the strength to try again. This time, instead of conflict, he discovers kindness, acceptance, and the friendship he had been too afraid to seek. Through imagination and resilience, The Cardboard Armour reminds us that the strongest protection isn't armor—it's the courage to be vulnerable.
