He looks like he died in his sleep. No signs of trauma, no struggle. It's as if his body simply decided to stop. But why? [paper rustling] Referral source, Price's office. I hate patterns. I killed him. I was in there and I killed him. [footsteps] You didn't. Something in there did. It's been happening, small, below threshold. You knew something was wrong and you let him go in anyway? [paper rustling] I've been logging it. Nobody asked me to. I just, I notice things. Yeah. I noticed. [sighs] One tragedy doesn't end a miracle, Miriam. We pause, we review, we continue. Elias, what happened to him was horrifying. We can't pretend everything is fine. A man died in his sleep. Just a volunteer's light dream. Nothing that can hurt anyone. 20 minutes, in and out. [branch cracking] [wind blowing] This was supposed to be a meadow. The dream only had ash to build it. You're not one of the graflings. Show me your face. [branch cracking] [gasping] There was something in there, watching. A nightmare? No, it wasn't the dream. It was in the dream. Hey, I'm sorry. I don't know your name. "Stay," the song. "Stay." I know. [laughing] They're adorable. That's what makes them unbearable. Dive 47. The subject is not... Not what? Who was the diver before Ryn? [footsteps] Don't go back. I'm not going back. I'm going in. It's wider now. You followed it in. Miss Calloway, we have been waiting for you to look up. [panting] Not like this. Open, open, open. Come on. [grunts] Sorry. I'm sorry. Sorry. [screaming] You're out. You're here. [panting] It let me leave. It let me. [static noise] Your waythfirm, it almost unraveled, too. What did you see? It was waiting for me. It knew I was coming. [thunder rumbling] [rain pouring] [gentle music]
