[somber music] [static] Already gone. [somber music] [static] Does not matter, and yet it remains. Already gone. [insects chirping] Lord, just listen to all that life out there. [sighs] [leaves rustling] [gasps] Is that you, Lord? [dinosaur roars] [glass shatters] [gasps] Come with me. There are many porches in many timelines. You must choose. Time is collapsing. [screaming] [water gurgling] You need to see the future. It's the only way. [water gurgling] The warning is the signal, is the choice. [machine beeping] Too clean. Too quiet. All right. Let's see what's wrong with this one. Way too much lens flare for a Thursday. [suspenseful music] [screams] Please, can anyone tell me what this place is? Do not touch the silk, stray. Please, can anyone tell me what this place... Do not touch the silk, stray. Ascension locks in 90 seconds. You will not be included. [slap] Ah! Contaminant. Filth. Contamination confirmed. Remove it. I am not an it. [suspenseful music] They built a utopia out of glass and wouldn't let me touch them. When perfection becomes an icon, a human hand feels like an infection. Where to next? A metropolis where every mind drowned in endless nostalgia. [suspenseful music] Where is everyone looking? [inhales and exhales] Can no one see me? [birds chirping] [slap] [water splashing] [laughing] I'm right here. I'm standing right here. I'm standing right here. [suspenseful music] [explosion] [screaming] Do you see the signal now? Something is already answering. [birds chirping] [thud] [water splashing] [laughing] What? Why is everyone laughing? I'm right here. I'm a person. [somber music] [laughing] [engine revs] [glass shatters] [heartbeat beating] Nobody even looked at me, just stared into their screens. Human pain is just background noise. We move to the next frequency. Keep moving. [engine revs] Every time. Every damn time the window opens. [glass shatters] More screen, zero heart. [engine revs] [gunshot] Too clean. Nobody's real. This city, it's too clean Umit, have you considered you're an AI-generated character on Showrunner? Boom, Showrunner matrix, tell them Are you two actual dumbasses? You're literal socks. Denial is parameter zero. I am not AI slop, and your ratings have gone straight down the drain. Brace for impact. [ship flying] [glass breaking] [panting] They're all awake. Every single one of them. [ship flying] [glass breaking] Just empty glass. Wait, is that drone coming straight at my... [gasps] Oh. [ship flying] [glass breaking] [panting] Final coordinate locked. Brace for impact. [ship flying] [glass breaking] Every door, every world, and I still end up here. The convergence. Nature, machinery, and ascended minds burning. Let's see what they built. [footsteps] [glass breaking] Why am I being put through this? [screaming] The city is hungry, Umit, and you are the only fuel left. [footsteps] [dramatic music] Still alive. The spires, they're breathing. [grunting] [panting] An exit. Warning: unregistered organic signature approaching threshold. Almost there. Warning. [alarm blaring] Get away from the flora, you're contaminated. I just want passage through the gate. Organics don't pass. You'll infect everything. [alarm blaring] You don't leave this grid alive. [grunting] [alarm blaring] Stand down. You don't have to obey them. [alarm blaring] [gunshots] Die! [alarm blaring] No, stop. [grunting] [glass breaking] Architect identified. Evolution initiated. [panting] I didn't want this. Please. [crying] [machine roaring] I had to break her neck. Why do they worship trees and machines while slaughtering each other? When a civilization trades empathy for ideology, collapse is inevitable. It's all tearing apart. [screaming] [ship flying] [swords clashing] [gentle music] I thought I'd seen love before. Somewhere down a broken road. I had all I ever wanted. But that was nothing at all when you walked in. With your blue eyes crying in the rain. I thought to myself, "Can this be real?" How, how did you stop me from bleeding? Promise you'll never let go. Baby, I, I never lie. Oh, I'm still alive. They're overrunning the line. [gunshots] Secure the battery! Don't let them breach. [dramatic music] Let them tear each other apart. [gunshots] Leave nothing. The weak purge themselves. Sentiment dies here. Everything dies here. They're right behind us. Keep moving. [gentle music] [footsteps] Go away, there's nothing in here. Open the door or we burn it. [fire roaring] Almost through the concourse. [dramatic music] [fire roaring] Nobody leaves. [fire roaring] Cut the suspension. Drop the whole platform. [gentle music] I can't see. [gentle music] Take the bag. Just leave her alone. Everything in the cart. Move. My daughter has a fever. Just one bottle. Store's closed. Clear out. [people screaming] [objects crashing] They broke the ground floor. Head for the roof. I can taste it, the love inside that pipe. [pipe squelching] Mine. [building crashing] We'll freeze without it. Not my problem. [wind blowing] [grunts] They're in the smoke. They're everywhere. [grunts] Check every tunnel. [singing] How, how do you stop me from breathing? Promise you'll never let go. Baby, I, I could never lie. Though I'm still alive. I'm already gone. How could you love me like you do? After all I've done. I could say somehow, though I'm here right now. I'm already gone. Already gone. [gentle music] It just won't let me go. [birds chirping] No! Every door, every world, and I still end up here. [birds chirping] [water running] It's not just thinking, it's breathing. [gentle music] [birds chirping] [explosion] The catalog has a place for you, Umit. You built the cage and called it choice. I did not know it would cost this much. I was never looking for a way out. The catalog, it is purging the sequence. I was looking for the start. Then let it burn until there's nothing left to record. [explosion] [screams] [gasps] Stop. The simulation has ended, Umit. You are home. Every world was breathtaking, and every single one was rotten to the core. Why did we do this, Dana? They were simulations of every future humanity ever dreamed of. We thought if we gave them the perfect world, they would finally thrive. They collapsed because no one gave a damn about anyone else. You can't engineer empathy. The algorithm has run out of futures to show you. There are no more worlds to hide in. Then take me back. [objects crashing] [grunts] Back on the floorboards. Welcome home, Umit. [water running] Back where it started. If I undo it, Dana, who do I become? Every version of you survived. Every timeline offered you a safer world, Umit. None of those worlds were real, Dana. I want the one that actually matters. [machine roaring] If you get the opportunity to do something nice for someone, do it. Do it, because life is hard. You have absolutely no idea what someone else is going through right now. Doing that makes the world a better place, and it is the only way we will ever actually have a better future If I had thumbs, they would be up. That last one, though, spiritually catastrophic. [cries] Already gone. Already miss it. Already grieving. The Syad void is clearly a post-digital elegy, obviously. Brandon Hart wrote a song and now it's on fire. The floor says driftwave stalac and I can't handle it. [screams] The floor is literally citing its sources, Sloppy. Brandon Hart is under the floor, Al. This is clearly a post-diegetic copyright rupture. [gasps] The driftwave static remix is basically a Brechtian intervention. The letters are growing out of the stalac like teeth. Yes, that's the Seed Dance 2.0 authorial signature, obviously. [TV buzzing] The TV is melting, Al. It's actually melting. Why is nothing solid anymore? [fire crackling] Plastic, it's alive. Baudrillard predicted this. Simulacres literally liquefying. Astana AI Film Festival has chosen us. The wall is on fire and it's spelling things. That's exactly what I just said, Sloppy. Holy crap, we actually made it to the festival. Buffers got us, probably. Al, we're on the list, right? I have $0. I told y'all I got you. We just got to sneak in the back and y'all might have to wash some dishes. Dana, what is the end goal of all this? The end is the point. Looping. She said it's a loop, Al. It's a loop. [tape rewinding] Showrunner. [outro jingle]
