Incompetent Disciple

Shunji is an incompetent samurai disciple who spends his days practicing his questionable katana skills at a secluded shrine under the mentorship of his elderly master, Gojiro. Despite years of training, Shunji remains a remarkably terrible swordsman. One day, Gojiro entrusts him with a small ornate box and gives him one final task: deliver it to his uncle. Immediately afterward, Gojiro dies on the spot, leaving Shunji with little choice but to honor his master's final request. Unfortunately, his uncle lives ridiculously far away, and Shunji has no horse, cart, money, or transportation of any kind. So he sets off on foot, beginning a painfully long journey across the country.
