The Hills later reported they saw several figures inside the craft. Small humanoid creatures, large dark eyes, calm, emotionless expressions. Their memories of what happened next appeared only as scattered fragments. Barney, the craft, it's right above us. Don't move. Don't look at their eyes. You have already been chosen. The moment Betty and Barney Hill crossed into the craft, everything changed. No wind, no insects, no engine noise, only silence. They described it as clean, controlled, unlike anything human hands had built. The Hills described the corridor walls as one continuous, seamless material. No rivets, no wiring, no mechanism of any kind. Whatever built this, it had no need to hide its methods. Barney, it's showing us something. Even decades later, Betty would say the interior felt less like a machine and more like something intentionally built to be simple. Neither Betty nor Barney described the interior as chaotic or frightening in appearance. Instead, they remembered an atmosphere as calm, almost clinical.
