S1 E33:25
Jack follows Clara back to her isolated farmhouse, determined to understand why the young girl remains there despite her parents having vanished. Inside the strange 1840s home, Clara reveals more about her family—and Jack begins to realize that whatever is keeping her there may be far more sinister than a simple haunting. Meanwhile, Gordon strikes up an unlikely friendship with a bizarre paranormal travel agent who seems to know far too much about the supernatural—and perhaps about Jack’s investigation. Back at the investigation, Janine uncovers a disturbing truth about Clara, her home, and the mysterious Room 13. What she discovers suggests that Jack may not be investigating a haunting at all… but something that has been waiting for him to arrive.

[whooshing] Gordon? Our friend is back in the future, Lance. This is just for you. What year is this? 1840. Come up to the house, sir. [upbeat music] Out in the night, where the shadows stand. A flashlight beam, my only lance. Jack. Jack, it's Gordon. Every creak and groan, it's a ghost who dances. Or maybe it's just the floor. I hear them whisper, I hear them scream. But is it real or just a dream? Ghost Safari, hunting what I can't see. [upbeat music] [crickets chirping] Woo-hoo, boys' night. [jazz music] Gorda, you might want to hear this. I'm here. Jack went through a ghost door and disappeared. Some shady developers built this motel over an old farm. Never told next to kin. Gorda, are you there? [jazz music] Guess there was a better party on the other side. Over. Gordon, get a flashlight. Explore between rooms 12 and 14. I think something there is causing these anomalies. [exhales sharply] [footsteps] Clara, where are your parents? Gone. Ma and Pa just didn't come home one day. You're by yourself here? Not quite. [jazz music] [objects clattering] [oinks] The hell? [growls] Did somebody say boys' night? What do you mean, "not quite"? He told me I could see them again if I only did one thing. Who, and what was the one thing? Malrak. And bring you to him. [gasps] [crickets chirping] Yeah, so I maintain contact with the spiritual plane for a contracted ghost. [chews] Wait, so you're some sort of ghost travel agent for hire? Devillogatha, supernatural travel. Sorry about that. Sometimes I forget I got quotas to meet. Anyhow, your friend is fine beyond the door. How do you know? I created it. Anywow. [upbeat music] Boys' night! [thunder rumbling] [somber music] Holy shit. They were buried at home. When did Malrak come to you? He came after Ma and Pa were gone, before I fell asleep. He's using you to get to me, Clara. Why does he want you? [sighs] Never deceive a demon, Clara, no matter how sweet the deal sounds. He's after what I owe him. You mean your soul? That's why you're still here as well. He promised you something that could never happen, and I'm sorry for that. I just wanted to be with them. You will, I promise. [laughs] [somber music]
