[footsteps] [spoon clinking] [drinking] [spoon clinking] Banana Chan is taped in front of a live studio audience. [audience cheering] Breakfast is served, and the future's at the door. I'm Banana Chan, and I'm ready for more. [upbeat music] [screaming] Grandma, hold on. We're about to go through the floor. [static] [thud] Sweetheart, why are your eyes blue? In the books, they're green. The guy making this cartoon with AI is scared to touch my settings. [chuckles] Guys, that clock says 90 seconds until the show gets canceled. [footsteps] [audience laughing] [microwave dinging] I have an idea. Sweetheart, not the good syrup. No reason to worry about countdown. [laughing] [explosion] [clock ticking] [explosion] That trapdoor leads to my rec room, dear. I play Sega Dreamcast down there while you're at school. [Dreamcast startup] Mom, who just turned the Dreamcast on? [creaking] I've got friends hanging out down there. [door slamming] Mom, you don't have friends. You have us. Pick one, the exit or the mystery hatch. [banging] I pick we all have ice cream. [rumbling] Mom, why is someone down there calling you player two? Why does the exit light just say "Run?" [ominous music] Go to a friend's house and play video games. I'll play with my guests. Mom, why does the cord have your name on it? Great Grandma, that controller is pulling you down there. [static] [siren blaring] Mom, the exit light is counting down. What happens at zero? Great Grandma, say it's not pulling you down there. Yes, it's pulling me down there, and it's okay. You two need to learn what's normal for gamers from the console wars. [beeping] [thudding] [upbeat music] Great Grandma, what is that funny smell? Don't worry about the smell, sweetheart. It's normal. Exit to outside is the green door by the couch. Mom, there's a bathroom down here? I designed this place for respite, sweetheart, for all of us. Mom, the cord's pulling again. Just let go of it. If she lets go, the green door's lights die. Pick one, Great Grandma. [upbeat music] Oh, stop it, you. Not now, dear. Mom, did that hand just give you a thumbs up? Great Grandma, if that's your friend, who is the trap for? [upbeat music] Buster, sweetheart, you ask far too many questions, and you're too much of a newbie to understand the answers yet. Mom. Newbie? Great Grandma, I fought ninjas. [upbeat music] Buster, you're from the future, so you've never seen that weird part of the 1980s. Mom, the countdown just jumped to five. What does the hand want? Great Grandma, what's in the 1980s that wants me? [upbeat music] A thing called fun. You kids these days don't seem to understand the concept. Mom, something is sliding toward us, and the countdown says four. Fun doesn't rumble, Great Grandma. Fun doesn't rumble. [upbeat music] Code, the kids sound too concerned. Yeah, they just don't get it. Wipe their memories, and we'll try again later. Banana and Buster don't remember what happened. Okay, Miko. Behold, science! Wait, wait. Is it supposed to be fizzing? Totally supposed to be fizzing. [gasping] It's glitter. Buster, it's everywhere. [laughing]
